Abstract. Primary hypertension is a type of hypertensive disease that isn’t as a result of other disease complications. Hypertension is one of the health problems in Indonesia with a high prevalence of 31.7%. To maintain normal blood pressure in hypertensive patients can possible by taking medicine, reduce salt and cholesterol intake, reduce cigarettes and caffeinated beverages. In addition, avoid stress and check blood pressure every month and consult with a doctor. However, not all patients carry out doctor’s advice, the patient's illness isn’t improved because the patient is inaccurate in understanding the condition of the disease. The purpose of this study was to obtain empirical data on the relationship between Illness Perception with Compliance Behavior on Primary Hypertension Patient Member Prolanis in Puskesmas Riung Bandung. The data collection was done by using a measuring instrument such as Revised Illness Perception Questionaire (IPQ-R) modified by researcher and compliance questionnaire made by researcher with reference to Haynes's Compliance theory. The method used in this study was correlational. The subjects of this study were Primary Hypertension patient of Prolanis member at Riung Bandung Public Health Center, amounting to 56 people. Based on the results of data processing obtained a positive relationship is medium (quite closely) between illness perception with compliance (rs = 0.606). This is also shown by the more negative illness perception, the lower the patient's compliance behavior in carrying out doctor's advice. The results obtained by the majority of 28 patients have low illness perception and also low compliance behavior. Dimension Treatment Control has the strongest relationship with Compliance (rs = 0.662). While the Timeline Cyclical Dimension has the weakest relationship with Compliance (rs = 0.323).Keywords: Illness perception, Compliance Behavior , Primary HypertensionAbstrak. Hipertensi Primer merupakan jenis merupakan jenis penyakit hipertensi yang bukan akibat dari komplikasi penyakit lain. Hipertensi juga merupakan satu di antara masalah kesehatan di Indonesia dengan prevalensi yang tinggi yaitu sebesar 31,7%. Untuk mempertahankan tekanan darah tetap normal pada pasien hipertensi dapat dilakukan dengan cara meminum obat antihipertensi, mengurangi asupan garam dan kolesterol, mengurangi konsumsi rokok dan minuman berkafein. Selain itu, menjaga kondisi psikis agar tidak stress serta melakukan cek tekanan darah setiap bulan dan berkonsultasi dengan dokter. Akan tetapi tidak semua pasien sudah melakukan apa yang dianjurkan dokter, salah satunya keadaan pasien yang tak kunjung membaik dikarenakan pasien tidak tepat dalam mempersepsikan kondisi penyakitnya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh data empiris mengenai seberapa erat hubungan antara Illness Perception dengan Perilaku Compliance pada Pasien Hipertensi Primer Anggota Prolanis di Puskesmas Riung Bandung. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan alat ukur berupa The Revised Illness Perception Questionaire (IPQ-R) yang telah dimodifikasi dan kuesioner perilaku compliance yang dibuat sendiri oleh peneliti dengan mengacu pada teori Compliance dari Haynes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah korelasional. Subjek penelitian ini adalah pasien Hipertensi Primer Anggota Prolanis di Puskesmas Riung Bandung yang berjumlah 56 orang. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data diperoleh adanya hubungan positif yang sedang (cukup erat) antara illness perception dengan compliance (rs=0,606). Hal ini ditunjukkan juga oleh semakin negatif illness perception maka semakin rendah perilaku compliance pasien dalam menjalankan anjuran dokter. Diperoleh hasil mayoritas 28 pasien memiliki illness perception yang rendah dan juga perilaku compliance yang rendah. Dimensi Treatment Control yang memiliki hubungan paling kuat dengan Compliance (rs=0,662). Sedangkan Dimensi Timeline Cyclical memiliki hubungan paling lemah dengan Compliance (rs=0,323).Kata Kunci: Illness perception, Perilaku Compliance, Hipertensi Primer |
