Abstract. Sunmori (Sunday Morning Ride) Activity usually done by all of the Indonesian’s bikers in everywhere. However, lately Lembang’s sunmori activity has suddenly beaming into the spotlight, not because their achievement but yet because their activity which has taken so much lives. How is that so? Because, in the community the members tends to showing off their riding skill (the one called as show off riding skill) while doing sunmori. B.O.B community oftentimes doing some show off riding skill that has a high risk, which endanger its bikers either the other participants’ lives. This research is using sensation seeking variable (Zuckerman, 2007). With the method of quantitative descriptive that equipped by qualitative as its complementary in the discovery of how Sensation Seeking looks like In B.O.B Community. In this research, is also using population study which amounts to 45 persons, utilising sensation seeking scale (Zuckerman, 2007) as its measuring instrument. The results of this research is B.O.B community’s member has a high level of sensation seeking with the score by 71.8%, Sensation Seeking level in the early phases of adolescents by 70.8% it’s already into “High Level” category, and so with Sensation Seeking level in the late phases of adolescents by 68.17% in the “High Level” Category.Keywords: Sensation Seeking, Sunmori, Show off Riding Skill Abstrak. Aktivitas sunmori biasa dilakukan dimana saja oleh bikers di seluruh Indonesia, namun belakangan ini aktivitas sunmori Lembang menadi sorotan bikers di seluruh Indonesia karena sering memakan korban jiwa yang di akibatkan karena melakukan Show off riding skill ketika sedang sunmori. Komunitas B.O.B dalam melakukan sunmori seringkali melakukan show off riding skill yang mempunyai resiko yang dapat membahayakan diri sendiri maupun pengendara lain. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan variabel sensation seeking (zuckerman, 2007). Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan cara kuantitatif yang dilengkapi dengan kualitatif sebagai pelengkap dalam penemuan gambaran Sensation Seeking Pada Komunitas B.O.B. dalam penelitian ini menggunakan studi populasi yang berumlah 45 orang menggunakan alat ukur sensation seeking scale (zuckerman, 2007). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah anggota komunitas B.O.B memiliki tingkat sensation seeking Tinggi dengan nilai persentase 71.8%, tingkat Sensation Seeking pada fase remaja awal sebesar 70.8% kategori “Tinggi”, tingkat Sensation Seeking pada fase remaja madya sebesar 76.9% kategori “Sangat Tinggi”, dan tingkat Sensation Seeking pada fase remaja akhir sebesar 68.17% kategori “Tinggi”.Kata Kunci : Sensation Seeking, Sunmori, Show off Riding Skill. |
