Uji Aktivitas Antifungi Ekstrak Etanol Daun Kedondong (Spondias Dulcis Parkinson) terhadap Fungi Candida Albicans Secara In Vitro

dc.description Abstract. Kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) is believed to be uses as a traditional medicine for the community. Empirically the kedondong plant can be used as a medicine for cough, sore skin, burns, and antimicrobials. The leaves, bark, and the root skin contain saponins, flavonoids, alkaloids and tannins. These compounds can be useful as antifungi. The purpose of this study is to study the activity of ethanol extract from kedondong leaves (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) in inhibiting the growth of Candida albicans, know inhibitory concentration minimum extract from the leaves of ethanol kedondong ( Spondias dulcis Parkinson) of Candida albicans, And he knows value equality extract ethanol leaves kedondong ( Spondias dulcis Parkinson ) to antibiotics comparison. Antifungal activity test to be used solid difution method. Kedondong leaves extract solution to be used with final concentration of 25%, 20%, 15%, 12,5%, 10%, and 5% w /v. To determine the minimum inhibitory concentration, concentration of kedondong ethanol leaf extract used with final concentration of 14%, 13%, and 12%. Observation was conducted after incubation for 18-24 hours at 37oC.Parameters observed was the inhibition  growth of  Candida albicans with indicated size of the inhibiton diameters. The results showed that the kedondong leaves extract had an inhibition growth of Candida albicans. Concentration 20% and 15% were effective concentration to inhibit the growth of  Candida albicans. At a concentration of 20% it produces a diameter of 11.3 mm and at a concentration of 15% produces a diameter of 8 mm. The concentration of 14% shows the Minimum Inhibitory Concentration with a inhibition diameter of 7.18 mm. Leaf ethanol extract of comparable antibiotics were 1 mg of ethanol extract of kedondong leaves equivalent to 7.5 x 10-3 mg of ketoconazole.Keywords: kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) leaves, Candida albicans, inhibitory diameter Abstrak. Tanaman kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) dipercaya dapat bermanfaat sebagai obat tradisional bagi masyarakat. Secara empiris tanaman kedondong dapat digunakan sebagai obat batuk, kulit perih, luka bakar, dan antimikroba. Bagian daun, kulit batang, dan kulit akar kedondong mengandung saponin, flavonoid, alkaloid dan tannin. Senyawa-senyawa tersebut dapat bermanfaat sebagai antifungi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas ekstrak etanol daun kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Candida albicans, mengetahui Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum  dari ekstrak etanol daun kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) terhadap Candida albicans, dan mengetahui nilai kesetaraan ekstrak etanol daun kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson) terhadap antibiotik pembanding. Pengujian aktivitas antifungi dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode difusi padat. Larutan ekstrak daun kedondong yang digunakan dengan konsentrasi akhir, yaitu 25%, 20%, 15%, 12,5%, 10%, dan 5% b/v. Untuk penetapan nilai Konsentrasi Hambat minimum (KHM), larutan ekstrak etanol daun kedondong yang digunakan dengan konsentrasi akhir, yaitu 14%, 13%, dan 12%. Pengamatan dilakukan setelah masa inkubasi selama 18-24 jam pada suhu 37oC. Paramater yang diamati, yaitu hambatan pertumbuhan Candida albicans yang ditunjukkan dari ukuran diameter hambat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun kedondong terhadap pertumbuhan jamur Candida albicans. Konsentrasi 20% dan 15% merupakan konsentrasi yang efektif dalam menghambat pertumbuhan Candida albicans. Pada konsentrasi 20% menghasilkan diameter hambat sebesar 11,3 mm dan pada konsentrasi 15% menghasilkan diameter hambat sebesar 8 mm.  Konsentrasi 14% menunjukkan nilai Konsentrasi Hambat Minimum dengan diameter hambat sebesar 7,18 mm.  Nilai kesetaraan ekstrak etanol daun kedondong terhadap antibiotik pembanding yaitu 1 mg ekstrak etanol daun kedondong setara dengan 7,5 x 10-3 mg ketokonazol.Kata kunci: daun kedondong (Spondias dulcis Parkinson), Candida albicans,  diameter hambat
