Abstract. Tuberculosis (TB) is a contagious disease that causes high mortality in the world. Indonesia is the second highest country that has tuberculosis casess in the world. One way to prevent TB is the Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) vaccine. Giving this vaccine is given intracutaneously which will then leave a scar. The purpose of this study was to determine the immunization status of BCG in children aged 0-14 years with pulmonary tuberculosis. This study used an observational study with a cross sectional method. Data obtained from patient medical records taken at one time. The study was conducted at the Garuda City Health Center Bandung in the period January 2016-October 2018. The results of the study showed 57 children with pulmonary tuberculosis with a maximum age of 1-5 years, ie 41 people (71.9%). It was known from 57 people all had been immunized by BCG (100%) and 52 of them had scar formation. Although administration of BCG vaccination demonstrates the still unclear effectiveness of pulmonary tuberculosis, the BCG vaccine has shown effectiveness in the prevention of severe tuberculosis such as miliary tuberculosis and tuberculosis meningitis. Conclusion, based on the results of research on immunization status in children aged 0-14 years with pulmonary tuberculosis patients at Garuda Primary Health Care Bandung in 2016-2018, it can be concluded that pulmonary TB patients aged -14 years amounted to 57 people and all had been immunized by BCG, 52 people among them there is scar formation.Keywords: Children aged 0-14 years, BCG, Scar, Lung TuberculosisAbstrak. Penyakit tuberkulosis (TB) merupakan penyakit menular penyebab mortalitas yang tinggi di dunia. Indonesia menempati urutan kedua negara dengan kasus TB terbesar di dunia. Salah satu cara pencegahan TB adalah dengan vaksin Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG). Pemberian vaksin ini diberikan secara intrakutan yang kemudian akan meninggalkan scar. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui status imunisasi BCG pada anak usia 0-14 tahun penderita tuberkulosis paru. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi observasional dengan metode cross sectional. Data diperoleh dari rekam medis pasien yang diambil dalam satu waktu. Penelitian dilakukan di Puskesmas Garuda Kota Bandung periode Januari 2016-Oktober 2018. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan anak yang menderita TB paru sejumlah 57 orang dengan usia terbanyak 1-5 tahun yaitu, 41 orang (71.9%). Diketahui dari 57 orang tersebut semua sudah diimunisasi BCG (100%) dan 52 orang diantaranya terdapat pembentukan scar. Meskipun pemberian vaksinasi BCG menunjukkan efektifitas yang masih belum jelas terhadap tuberkulosis paru , vaksin BCG telah menunjukkan efektifitas dalam pencegahan tuberkulosis berat seperti tuberkulosis milier dan tuberkulosis meningitis. Simpulan, berdasarkan hasil penelitian tentang status imunisasi pada anak usia 0-14 tahun penderita tuberkulosis paru di Puskesmas Garuda Kota Bandung pada tahun 2016-2018, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penderita TB paru usia -14 tahun berjumlah 57 orang dan semua sudah diimunisasi BCG, 52 orang diantaranya terdapat pembentukan scar.Kata Kunci: Anak usia 0-14 tahun, BCG, Scar, Tuberkulosis Paru |
