Abstract. The tight competition requires producers to provide quality products and competitive prices so as to achieve Competitive Advantage. However, the reality is that not all companies are able to increase their Competitive Advantage as is the case in the Cibuntu Tofu Industry center. High production costs due to the weakening of the rupiah (exchange rate) against the dollar caused a decrease in production volume due to rising raw material prices. The high level of dependence on foreign suppliers also impacts on the weak ability of tofu producers to gain bargaining power with suppliers which results in damage to the Inbound Logistic value chain which is one of a series of value chain activities. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the application of Value Chain Analysis in increasing Competitive Advantage in the industry center of Cibuntu Tahu. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis and case studies to analyze in depth about the implementation of Value Chain Analysis in Bandung Cibuntu Tofu Industry in increasing its Competitive Advantage. Data collection techniques are done by interview and questionnaire. The results showed that the implementation of Value Chain Analysis in increasing Competitive Advantage in Cibuntu tofu industry centers contained in the criteria of "good".Keywords: Competitive Advantage, Value Chain Analysis, Production Volume.Abstrak. Ketatnya persaingan menuntut para produsen untuk memberikan produk yang berkualitas dan harga yang bersaing sehingga mampu mencapai Competitive Advantage. Namun , kenyataannya tidak semua perusahaan mampu meningkatkan Competitive Advantage-nya seperti yang terja pada sentra Industri Tahu Cibuntu. Biaya produksi yang tinggi karena pelemahan nilai tukar rupiah (kurs) terhadap dolar menyebabkan terjadinya penurunan volume produksi akibat naiknya harga bahan baku. Besarnya tingkat ketergantungan terhadap supplier luar negeri juga berdampak pada lemahnya kemampuan produsen tahu untuk mendapatkan kekuatan tawar menawar dengan supplier yang mengakibatkan rusaknya rantai nilai Inbound Logistic yang merupakan salah-satu rangkaian aktivitas value chain. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah ingin mengetahui dan menganalisis penerapan Value Chain Analysis dalam meningkatkan Competitive Advantage pada sentra industri Tahu Cibuntu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis deskriptif dan studi kasus untuk menganalisis secara mendalam mengenai implementasi Value Chain Analysis pada Industri Tahu Cibuntu Bandung dalam meningkatkan Competitive Advantage-nya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara dan kuisioner. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Implementasi Value Chain Analysis dalam meningkatkan Competitive Advantage pada sentra industri tahu cibuntu terdapat pada kriteria “baik”.Kata Kunci : Competitive Advantage, Value Chain Analysis, Volume Produksi. |
