Abstract. This writing aims to find out 1)the competence of teachers at the Paud DewiSartika Bandung, 2) the role of the principal in increasing the competence of the Paud teacher at the Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung, 3) the obstacles of the principal in incresing the competence of the Paud teacher at the paud Dewi sartika Bandung post. This research is a qualitative. With data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews, ang documenttation studies, with an emphasis on the source of informant data of school principals and teacher to strengthen the validaty of the data obtained. from the results of this study revealed three findings, namely 1)the comptence of the teachers at the paud Dew sartika Bandung, 2) the role of the principal in increasing the competence of the Paud teacher at Paud Dewi sartika Bandung, 3) the obstacles of the principal in increasing the completence of the Paud teacher at the Paud Dewi sartika Bandung. From the explanation above, it can be concluded that the role of the principal at the copetence of paud teacher, thepaud post dewi sartika bandung, involve the teachers through training (education and traing), seminars, workshop and other educational activities, as well as establishing relationships with subdistrict associotions to be able to track the progress of teclonogy and communicationsdevelopment of paud and keep up with progress by learning from various sources such as electronic media and knowledge from peers.Keywords: implenmentaion of the role of principal, the role compentence of the paud teacherAbstrak. Penulisan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) kompetensi guru di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Kota Bandung, (2) Peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru paud di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung, (3) Hambatan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru paud di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung. Penelitian ini merupakan metode penelitian kualitatif. Dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, dengan menitikberatkan sumber data informan: Kepala sekolah dan Guru untuk mengokohkan keabsahan data yang diperoleh. Dari hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan tiga temuan yaitu: (1)untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru paud di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Kota Bandung, (2) untuk mengetahui peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru paud di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung, (3) Untuk mengetahui hambatan upaya kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru paud di Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung . Dari penjelasan diatas dapat disimpulkan peran kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kompetensi guru paud, kepala sekolah Pos Paud Dewi Sartika Bandung, mengadakan supervisi kunjungan kelas, mengikutsertakan para gurunya melalui pelatihan-pelatihan (diklat), seminar-seminar, workshop dan kegiatan pendidikan lainnya, dan menjalin hubungan dengan himpunan Pendidikan anak usia dini kecamatan, untuk dapat mengetahui kemajuan perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi pengembangan PAUD, serta mengikuti kemajuan dengan belajar dari berbagai sumber misalnya media elektronik dan pengetahuan dari teman sejawat.Kata Kunci: Implementasi Peran Kepala Sekolah, Kompetensi Guru PAUD |
