Abstract—Academic procrastination is a postponement of behavior performed by students in doing assignments. The phenomenon of procrastination often occurs among students by postponing lecture assignments. Procrastination is behavior that associated with one of the psychological conditions, that is learning motivation. Motivation is impetus of individuals in directing learning activities to achieve goals. This study aims to see the effect of learning motivation on academic procrastination. This type of research is causality with a quantitative approach. Subject on this research were 399 university students in Bandung. The sampling technique used cluster random sampling. The measuring instrument used is the Academic Motivation Scale and the Active Procrastination Scale. The results showed that there was a partial effect of intrinsic motivation, identified regulation and amotivation on academic procrastination and there was no effect of external regulation and introjection regulation on academic procrastination.Keywords—Intrinsic Motivation, External Regulation, Introjection Regulation, Identified Regulation, Amotivation, Academic Procrastination. |
