Abstract. Youth problems are still the center of attention from various circles of society. Several factors that influence adolescent problems are loneliness and parental attachment. Teens who do not get secure attachment and support from parents will make teens feel lonely and rejected, so their social skills are poor. In this case, parents play an important role in reducing the sense of loneliness in adolescents so that adolescents do not dependent to game online. In addition, the quality of the parent-child bond can be a strong predictor of juvenile delinquency where online gaming addiction. This study aims to see the closeness of the relationship between parental attachment and loneliness among teenage gamers in Bandung. This research was conducted by testing as many as 103 adolescent respondents who addicted to online games in Bandung tested parental attachment and tested the level of loneliness. Correlational test results show that parental attachment has a relationship with loneliness in teenage gamers in Bandung. The majority of teenage gamers feel loneliness, and are dominated by teenage gamers who have secure attachments.Keywords: Parental attachment, Loneliness, Adolecent Gamers Abstrak. Permasalahan remaja masih menjadi pusat perhatian dari berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi permasalahan remaja adalah loneliness dan parental attachment. Remaja yang tidak mendapatkan attachment yang hangat dan dukungan dari orang_tua akan membuat remaja merasa loneliness dan merasa ditolak sehingga keterampilan sosialnya buruk. Dalam hal ini orang tua memainkan peran penting dalam mengurangi rasa loneliness pada remaja sehingga remaja tidak menjadi adiksi game. Selain itu, kualitas ikatan orangtua-anak dapat menjadi prediktor kuat untuk kenakalan remaja dimana mencakup adiksi game online. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui keeratan hubungan parental attachment dengan loneliness pada gamers remaja di Kota Bandung. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menguji sebanyak 103 responden remaja yang adiksi game online di Kota Bandung diuji parental attachment dan diuji tingkat loneliness. Hasil uji korelasional menunjukan bahwa parental attachment memiliki hubungan dengan loneliness pada gamers remaja di Kota Bandung. Mayoritas gamers remaja merasakan loneliness, dan didominasi oleh gamers remaja yang memiliki secure attachment.Kata Kunci: Parental attachment, Loneliness, Gamers remaja |
