Abstract. Islam is the religion of the majority of Indonesia's population. In Islam, a man is allowed to practice polygamy on the condition that he has to behave fairly with each wife he marries. The practice of polygamy is a man who marries more than one woman. In Indonesia the practice of polygamy is still being debated and a factor in divorce in household relations. Statistics from the Bandung Religious District Court stated that during 2017-2019 there were 4,365 divorce requests based on polygamy, this figure is the biggest cause of divorce in the city of Bandung. In Bandung there is a recitation group X RT 12 whose members are polygamous wives but still maintain the household. A wife who runs a family with a polygamous status needs the ability to resilience, adapt, and rise from the downturn in polygamy. This study aims to determine the description of resilience which refers to the Reivich & Shatte theory. The study was conducted with a population study of 28 members of the X recitation group, and the results were that 53.5% of wives had high resilience, with the dimensions of Emotion Regulation, Impulse Control, Optimism, Causal Analysis, Empathy, High Self Efficacy & Reaching Out and 46, 5% of wives have low resilience which is dominated by the low dimension of the Causal Analysis.Keywords: Polygamy, Islam, Resilience.Abstrak. Islam merupakan agama mayoritas penduduk Indonesia. Dalam agama Islam seorang laki-laki diperbolehkan melakukan praktik poligami dengan syarat harus berperilaku adil pada setiap istri yang dinikahinya. Praktik poligami adalah laki-laki yang menikahi lebih dari satu wanita. Di Indonesia praktik poligami masih menjadi perdebatan dan menjadi faktor perceraian dalam hubungan rumah tangga. Data statistik Pengadilan Negeri Agama Bandung menyebutkan bahwa selama tahun 2017-2019 terdapat 4.365 permohonan perceraian yang didasari oleh poligami, angka tersebut merupakan penyebab perceraian terbesar di kota Bandung. Di Bandung terdapat kelompok pengajian X RT 12 yang beranggotakan istri dipoligami tetapi masih mempertahankan rumah tangga. Istri yang menjalankan keluarga denga status dipoligami membutuhkan kemampuan resilience untuk tetap bertahan, beradaptasi, dan bangkit dari keadaan terpuruknya dipoligami. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran resilience yang mengacu pada teori Reivich & Shatte. Penelitian dilakukan dengan studi populasi pada 28 anggota kelompok pengajian X, dan didapatkan hasil sebanyak 53,5% istri memiliki resilience tinggi, dengan dimensi Emotion Regulation, Impulse Control, Optimism, Causal Analysis, Empathy, Self Efficacy & Reaching Out yang tinggi dan 46,5% dari istri memiliki resilience rendah yang didominasi oleh rendahnya dimensi Causal Analysis.Kata Kunci: Poligami, Islam, Resilience |
