Abstract. This study discusses social identity in the context of sports in Indonesia with participants of professional football athletes in Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to get clarity about the description of social identity in professional football athletes in Indonesia. The theory used is the social identity theory from Tajfel & Turner. The measuring instrument used is the Collective Self Esteem Scale from Luhtanen & Crocker which has been adapted into a Social Identity (SI) scale in the context of the Indonesian nation and itself as an Indonesian citizen by Suwartono & Moningka. In this study the data will be analyzed quantitatively using statistical analysis descriptive. Participants are professional football athletes who play in the Indonesian League. The results show that most of the professional football athletes in Indonesia have a strong social identity.Keywords: Athlete, football team, professional, social identity.Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas tentang social identity dalam konteks keolahragaan di Indonesia dengan partisipan atlet sepakbola professional di Indonesia.Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan kejelasan mengenai gambaran social identitypada atlet sepakbola professional di Indonesia.Teori yang digunakan adalah teori social identity dari Tajfel & Turner. Alat ukur yang digunakan adalah Collective Self Esteem Scale dari Luhtanen & Crocker yang telah diadaptasi menjadi skala Identitas Sosial (IS) dalam konteks bangsa Indonesia dan diri sebagai warga negara Indonesia oleh Suwartono & Moningka.Pada penelitian ini data akan dianalisis secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Partisipan merupakan atlet sepakbola professional yang bermain di Liga Indonesia.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar atlet sepakbola profesional di Indonesia mempunyai social identity yang kuat.Kata Kunci: Atlet, tim sepakbola, profesional, social identity. |
