Abstract. The Bandung Raya area is the center of both economic and government activity centered in the city of Bandung which forms a metropolitan. The number and population density which has increased quite rapidly will increase the movement of the population for activities, especially residents who live on the outskirts of the city who are carried out every day (commuting). There are many transportation options to get to the place of activity including Damri and trains provided by the government. This study aims to determine what factors determine in choosing to use public transportation Damri and rail and to find out how the preferences of the commuter community towards public transportation in Bandung Raya. The method used is descriptive analysis with a quantitative approach. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to commuters using public transportation Damri and Railways in Bandung Raya with 123 respondents. Measurement of indicators using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) with Super Decision software. The results showed that the average determinant factor of commuter society in choosing public transportation, namely Damri and trains, is dominated by safety with a weight of 33.75%, comfort with a weight of 24.39%, economy with a weight of 14.31%, speed with weight. 9.47%, capacity with a weight of 8.99%, and finally frequency with a weight of 8.65. While the final weight for the train selection was 54.99% while for Damri it was 44.69%. These results indicate that the Bandung Raya commuter people prefer trains to Damri. These results indicate that the commuting community of Bandung Raya prefers to use trains than Damri and that safety is a factor that commuters consider before choosing to use public transportation.Keywords: Preference, Public Transportation, Commuting, Bandung RayaAbstrak. Kawasan Bandung Raya merupakan pusat kegiatan baik perekonomian maupun pemerintahan yang berpusat di Kota Bandung yang membentuk metropolitan. Jumlah dan kepadatan penduduk yang mengalami peningkatan cukup pesat akan meningkatkan pergerakan penduduk untuk berkegiatan terutama penduduk yang bermukim dipinggiran kota yang dilakukan setiap hari (komuter). Terdapat banyak pilihan transportasi untuk sampai pada tempat kegiatan diantaranya yakni Damri dan kereta api yang disediakan oleh pemerintah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor apakah yang menentukan dalam memilih menggunakan transportasi publik Damri dan kereta api serta mengetahui bagaimana preferensi masyarakat komuter terhadap transportasi publik di Bandung Raya. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebaran kuesioner kepada masyarakat komuter pengguna transportasi publik Damri dan Kereta Api di Bandung Raya dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 123 orang. Pengukuran indikator menggunakan Analytical Hierarki Process (AHP) dengan software Super Decision. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata dari faktor penentu masyarakat komuter dalam memilih transportasi publik yaitu Damri dan kereta api didominasi oleh keselamatan dengan bobot 33,75%, kenyamanan dengan bobot 24,39%, ekonomis dengan bobot 14,31%, kecepatan dengan bobot 9,47%, kapasitas dengan bobot 8,99%, dan terakhir frekuensi dengan bobot 8,65. Sedangkan bobot akhir untuk pemilihan kereta api sebesar 54,99% sementara Damri sebesar 44,69%. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat komuter Bandung Raya lebih memilih kereta api dibandingkan Damri. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat komuter Bandung Raya lebih memilih menggunakan kereta api dibandingkan Damri dan faktor keselamatan menjadi faktor yang sangat dipertimbangkan masyarakat komuter sebelum memilih menggunakan transportasi publik.Kata Kunci: Preferensi, Transportasi Publik, Komuter, Bandung Raya |
