dc.description Excessive oxidation reaction in body and skin may lead to both early aging and skin cancer. One method of protecting skin fromfree radical is using the preparations of antioxidant. Black cumin oil and cinnamon bark extract (CB) have antioxidant activities. This research is designed to produce the preparations of microemulsion containing black cumin oil and cinnamon bark extract, and to examine antioxidant activity and humidity of preparations. The extract produced is filtered, the total phenol of black cumin oil and cinnamon bark extract (CB), the optimal microemulsion formula of black cumin oil in five variations of preparations, the evaluation of physical microemulsion reparations of cumin oil including organoleptic, centrifugation, and freeze thaw are put in the test. The formula of microemulsion extract (CB) is created and evaluation of physical characteristics is made based on organoleptic, homogeneity, centrifugation of freeze thaw, rheology, pH, and viscosity. And the antioxidant activities are examined by means of free radical damping using DPPH and humidity test. The results of this research is that the formula of black cumin oil and microemulsion extract have antioxidant activities and the formula of microemulsion extract has significant increase in humidity value.
dc.description Reaksi oksidasi yang berlebihan didalam tubuh dapat mengakibatkan terjadinya radikal bebas, jika terpapar pada kulit dapat mengakibatkan penuaan dini dan juga kanker kulit. Salah satu cara untuk melindungi kulit dari radikal bebas yaitu dengan penggunaan sediaan antioksidan. Minyak jinten hitam dan ekstrak kulit batang kayu manis (KBKM) diketahui memiliki aktivitas antioksidan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat sediaan mikroemulsi mengandung minyak jinten hitam dan ekstrak kulit batang kayu manis, dan menguji aktivitas antioksidan serta menguji kelembaban sediaan. Hasil ekstrak yang diperoleh dilakukan penapisan ekstrak, karakterisasi minyak jinten hitam, pengujian fenol total terhadap minyak jinten hitam dan ekstrak (KBKM), optimasi formula mikroemulsi minyak jinten hitam dengan lima variasi sediaan, evaluasi fisik sediaan miroemulsi minyak jinten hitam meliputi organoleptis, sentrifugasi dan freeze thaw. dibuat formula mikroemusi ekstrak (KBKM) dan dilakukan evaluasi sifat fisik berdasarkan organoleptis, homogenitas, sentrifugasi freeze thaw, rheologi, pH, dan viskositas. Serta dilakukan juga uji aktivitas antioksidan dengan metode peredaman radikal bebas menggunakan DPPH dan uji kelembaban. Hasil penelitian menunjukan formula mikroemulsi minyak jinten hitam dan formula mikroemulsi ekstrak (KBKM) memiliki aktivitas antioksidan dan formula mikroemulsi ekstrak (KBKM) memiliki peningkatan nilai kelembaban yang signifikan
