This article is a research result about social identity of KBPPP group members who are affiliated with motor gang group whose norm and value are contraductory. Social identity is a part of individual self concept derived from their knowledge about their membership to certain social group, valueable and emotional significance of the membership. The objective of this study is to describe components in building social identity on KBPPP. The method used is descriptive study with 25 members of KBPPP in Sukabumi. The instrument used is a modified instrument; definitions and sample items of Tajfel’s 1978 ( Dimmock, Grove, and Eklund, 2005). The results show that 68 % KBPPP members have low social identity to their group. And 76% of KBPPP members have low cognitive aspect. |

Artikel ini merupakan hasil penelitian mengenai identitas sosial anggota kelompok KBPPP yang bergabung dengan kelompok gank motor yang memiliki norma dan nilai yang bertolak belakang. Identitas sosial merupakan bagian dari konsep diri seseorang yang berasal dari pengetahuan mereka tentang keanggotaan dalam suatu kelompok sosial bersamaan dengan signifikansi nilai dan emosional dari keanggotaan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif bertujuan untuk mengetahui komponen dalam pembentukan identitas sosial pada KBPPP. Populasi penelitian ini adalah dua puluh lima anggota dari KBPPP di Sukabumi. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah modifikasi dari alat ukur sebelumnya yakni Definitions and Sample Items of Tajfel’s 1978 (Dimmock, Grove, and Eklund, 2005). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa anggota KBPPP Sebanyak 68% anggota KBPPP memiliki identitas sosial yang rendah terhadap kelompoknya dan sebagian besar 76% anggota KBPPP memiliki aspek kognitif yang rendah |
