dc.description Abstract. Carbon steel is one of steel types that is common to be used for making a conveyor structure. As a media for production that carries material which is can be very corrosive with the corrosive shore environment, so  the structure need to be protected by applying some coating on it to prevent the corrosion. Maintaince to the conveyor structure has to be done regularly to make sure it well operated. This research use standard SSPC VIS-2. The research is about corrosion rate in conveyor structure, made of carbon steel ASTM A36. Outputs from the research are value of corrosion rate in conveyor structure is 0.003 mm/year – 1 mm/year with remaining service life value is 2 – 150 years. In that condition, the corrosion value belong to low and the structure is in good condition. Otherwise, by visual, 90% of the conveyor structure surface is not in a good condition with mostly has corrosion defect, but that doesn’t effect to the production rate of the structure. In the mean time, that condition needs attention to be repaired to prevent a much worse condition and the value of corrosion rate is higher. One of prevention that is suggested to be done is to fix the surface coating on the structure as a main protection.Keywords: Corrosion rate, Remaining Service Life, Struktur Conveyor, ASTM A36, SSPC VIS-2Abstrak. Baja karbon merupakan baja yang paling banyak digunakan sebagai bahan pembuatan struktur conveyor. Sebagai perantara proses produksi yang membawa material yang bisa bersifat sangat korosif denga lingkungan sekitar laut yang sangat korosif, maka diperlukan suatu perlindungan coating agar korosi yang terjadi dapat diperkecil. Perawatan terhadap korosi pada stuktur conveyor sangat diperlukan untuk menjaga struktur dalam keadaan layak operasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan standar SSPC VIS-2. Penelitian ini membahas tentang laju korosi pada struktur conveyor dengan material baja karbon ASTM A36. Hasil penelitian pada pengujian laju korosi didapatkan nilai laju korosi dengan satuan mm/tahun dan remaining service life dalam tahun. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penelitian, nilai laju korosi pada struktur conveyor adalah sebesar 0,03 mm/tahun sampai 1 mm/tahun dengan nilai remaining service life adalah sebesar 2 tahun sampai 150 tahun. Dalam kondisi tersebut laju korosi yang terdapat pada struktur conveyor dikatakan rendah dan struktur dalam kondisi baik. Akan tetapi kondisi sruktur conveyor secara visual terlihat tidak baik dengan 90 % bagian struktur conveyor sudah terdapat defect korosi, namun pada saat ini tidak berdampak sangat besar pada kondisi pengurangan material. Akan tetapi hal tersebut tidak bias dibiarkan dan harus segera dilakukan perbaikan agar kondisi luar material tidak semakin buruk dan dapat berdampak pada pengurangan ketebalan yang akan semakin besar dan laju korosi yang semakin meningkat. Salah satu penanggulangan yang disarankan adalah dengan memperbaiki kondisi coating yang terdapat pada struktur conveyor tersebut sebagai perlindungan utama.Kata Kunci: Laju Korosi, Remaining Service Life, Struktur Conveyor, ASTM A36, SSPC VIS-2
