Abstract. Bearpath is a company that motion in the field of making sandals segmented by young people to serve customers throughout Indonesia. To maintain the consistency of sandals quality, quality control is required to cope with product defects. The Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) method is used to identify factors causing the defect. Based on the results of the study of defects that occur in the product sandals are not neat stitching defects, Upper pieces are not symmetrical and sandals dirty. FMEA Data processing results result in a Risk Priority Number (RPN) value. The RPN value gained will be the priority reference for corrective action retrieval. Based on the results of data processing and analysis obtained the highest cause of defects in the type of untidy seam defects is the wrong operator in setting the machine with an RPN value of 245. Upper type defect defects are not symmetrical the highest cause factor resulting from less skilled operators and equipment performance is not maximal with a value of 210 RPN. Types of gross Sandals defects the highest factor caused by the placement of goods that do not correspond to the RPN value of 224. Proposed repair to tackle the problem of defects in the product by conducting skills training and supervision of the operator, clarifying SOP, creating visual control, and perform regular machine maintenance .Keywords: Quality, footwear, Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA)Abstrak. Bearpath merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak dibidang pembuatan sandal yang bersegmentasi anak muda untuk melayani konsumen di seluruh Indonesia. Untuk menjaga konsistensi kualitas sandal, diperlukan pengendalian kualitas untuk menanggulangi kecacatan produk. Metode Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) digunkan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor penyebab kecacatan yang paling berpotensial. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian kecacatan yang terjadi pada produk sandal yaitu cacat jahitan tidak rapi, potongan upper tidak simetris dan sandal kotor. Hasil pengolahan data FMEA menghasilkan nilai Risk Priority Number (RPN). Nilai RPN yang didapat akan menjadi acuan prioritas pengambilan tindakan perbaikan. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data dan analisis didapatkan faktor penyebab kecacatan tertinggi pada jenis cacat jahitan tidak rapi adalah operator salah dalam mensetting mesin dengan nilai RPN sebesar 245. Jenis cacat potongan upper tidak simetris faktor penyebab tertinggi diakibatkan operator kurang terampil dan performa alat tidak maksimal dengan nilai RPN sebesar 210. Jenis kecacatan sandal kotor faktor tertinggi diakibatkan oleh penempatan barang yang tidak sesuai dengan nilai RPN sebesar 224. Usulan perbaikan untuk menanggulangi permasalahan kecacatan terhadap produk dengan melakukan pelatihan keterampilan dan pengawasan terhadap operator, memperjelas SOP, membuat visual control, dan melakukan perawatan mesin secara berkala.Kata Kunci: Kualitas, Alas Kaki, Failure Mode And Effect Analysis (FMEA) |
