PT Indofarma Tbk is one of the Indonesian pharmaceutical company that was founded in 1996. One of its products is piroxicam 20 mg capsules manufactured by Production Division I. Production Division I needs to improve productivity by eliminating waste in the production process of piroxicam 20 mg capsule. The cause of waste, based on the method of 5W + 1H, is the waiting time on WIP storage, storage, incorrect process, unnecessary movement, and damage on the piroxicam 20mg capsules. Stages in the research began with the current state mapping (value stream mapping) to identify the existing waste. Subsequently, process activity mapping (PAM) was conducted to describe all production activities. PAM generated value added for 1656 minutes and non-value added for 100331 minutes. Next, the future state mapping was done as a strategy to overcome the waste problem. Improvement of the future state mapping is to create a continuous flow process, work standardization, multi-skilled work, and implement kaizen in the process of charging, polishing, and Packaging sections. The results of future state mapping change the production lead-time of piroxicam 20 mg capsules, from 101959 minutes to 88833 minutes. Changes in the activity of the production process on the future state mapping includes the value added for 1028 minutes and non-value added for 87785 minutes.PT Indofarma Tbk adalah salah satu perusahaan farmasi di Indonesia yang didirikan sejak tahun 1996. Bagian Produksi I ingin meningkatkan produktivitas dengan mengeliminasi pemborosan pada proses produksi kapsul Piroxicam 20 mg. Penyebab pemborosan (waste) pada metode 5W+1H adalah waktu menunggu pada penyimpanan WIP, storage, proses yang tidak tepat, gerakan yang tidak diperlukan dan kecacatan kapsul Piroxicam 20mg. Tahapan pada penilitian dimulai dengan tahap current state mapping (value stream mapping) untuk mengidentifikasi pemborosan yang terjadi pada saat ini. Selanjutnya membuat process activity mapping (PAM) bertujuan untuk menggambarkan semua aktivitas pada lantai produksi. Aktivitas pada PAM menghasilkan value added sebesar 1656 menit dan non value added sebesar 100331 menit. Selanjutnya dilakukan future state mapping sebagai strategi untuk masalah pemborosan. Perbaikan pada future state mapping adalah menciptakan aliran proses kontinu, standarisasi kerja, pekerjaan multiskill dan menerapkan kaizen pada proses pengisian dan poleshing serta Bagian Pengemasan. Berdasarkan hasil pada future state mapping dihasilkan perubahan pada lead time produksi kapsul Piroxicam 20 mg dari 101959 menit menjadi 88833 menit. Perubahan pada aktivitas proses produksi pada future state mapping yaitu value added sebesar 1028 menit dan non value added sebesar 87785 menit.
