Production planning is very important for a company to meet demands of consumers. PT. X is a company engaged in footwear industry. Their production planning is not good shown by not doing forecasting and raw planning capacity. During this time, the company has always imposed overtime. Application of overtime hours for whole process is equal despite each production process capacity is unique. This led to implementation of overtime in each process, although certain processes do not require overtime. Overtime that is not adapted to needs results large fee. Based on the phenomenon, the study aims to carry out the planning of the capacity needed by the company to optimize the available capacity. The result of this study indicates that the application of overtime performed by good production planning results in lower costs. Based on the calculation, the average cost of overtime per month currently is Rp1.641.901.127,-. The result of this study shows a total cost of Rp. 1413252711,-. Therefore, the company can save 13.93% or Rp.228.648.416,- of overtime cost currently. |

Perencanaan produksi merupakan hal yang sangat penting dalam sebuah perusahaan untuk dapat memenuhi permintaan yang datang dari setiap konsumen. PT. X adalah sebuah perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri sepatu. Dalam menjalankan produksinya tidak ada perencanaan yang baik yang ditunjukkan dengan tidak dilakukannya peramalan dan perencanaan kapasitas kasar. Selama ini perusahaan selalu memberlakukan jam lembur. Penerapan jam lembur untuk semua proses adalah sama meskipun kapasitas produksi masing-masing proses berbeda. Hal ini menyebabkan adanya penerapan lembur pada setiap proses, meskipun proses tertentu tidak membutuhkan lembur. Lembur yang tidak disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan memberikan dampak terhadap biaya yang besar. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan perencanaan terhadap kapasitas yang dibutuhkan perusahaan dengan mengoptimalkan kapasitas yang tersedia. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan lembur yang dilakukan berdasarkan perencanaan produksi yang baik menghasilkan biaya yang lebih rendah. Berdasarkan perhitungan yang dilakukan rata-rata biaya lembur per bulan saat ini yaitu sebesar Rp.1.641.901.127,-. Sedangkan hasil dari penelitian ini diperoleh total biaya sebesar Rp. 1.413.252.711,- sehingga perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya sebesar 13,93% atau sejumlah Rp.228.648.416,- dari biaya lembur yang dikeluarkan perusahaan saat ini. |
