Abstract. Citra Iqra Pratama Home Industry is a company that produce socks located at Kiara Condong area of Bandung City. The Company produce school socks and Muslim socks that apply the make to order strategy. The condition of Citra Iqra Pratama Home Industry is experiencing a decrease in demand, this is due to decline proved the discovery of a lot defect product.Total defect in the period April 2016 to March 2017 reached 9% of total production. Of the total defect, the most common defect occurs at knitting machine station with a number of defect to break the sewing as much as 33,42% and the broken needle as much as 31,94%. The problem seen in the knitting machine section, where the many defect in the process using knitting machine, with a labor force only two people who have to handle 20 knitting machine. Therefore it is necessary to research about operator workload and then determine the number of operators in knitting machine section using NASA-TLX mental workload method and Work Sampling physics workload method. Based on result of mental workload measurement using NASA-TLX, it was found that the worker’s mental burden with 2 (two) operators on operator 1 (manual knitting machine) with score 79 and operator 2 (automatic knitting machine) with score 78 both include in heavy category. Based on result of Work Sampling measurement get the physical workload of operator 1 (manual knitting machine) equal to 1,22 while the physical workload of operator 2 (automatic knitting machine) equal to 1,20 so need addition 1 (one) operator again to each manual knitting machine and 1 (one) operator for automatic knitting machine. After adding 2 (two) operators, the decrease of defective production from 9% to 4,9%. Keywords: Nasa-TLX (Task Load Index), Work Sampling, Mental Workload, Knitting Machine Operator. Abstrak. Home Industry Citra Iqra Pratama adalah perusahaan yang memproduksi kaos kaki bertempat di daerah Kiara Condong kota Bandung. Perusahaan ini memproduksi kaos kaki sekolah dan kaos kaki muslim yang menerapkan strategi make to order. Kondisi home industry Citra Iqra Pratama sedang mengalami penurunan permintaan, hal ini disebabkan penurunan kualitas produk terbukti ditemukannya banyak sekali produk cacat. Nilai total kecacatan pada periode Bulan April 2016 hingga Bulan Maret 2017 mencapai 9% dari total produksi. Dari total semua kecacatan yang ada nilai kecacatan terbanyak terjadi pada stasiun mesin rajut dengan jumlah kecacatan untuk putus benang sebanyak 33,42% dan patah jarum sebanyak 31,94%. Permasalahan yang terlihat dibagian mesin rajut, di mana terjadi banyak kecacatan pada proses yang menggunakan mesin rajut, dengan jumlah tenaga kerja hanya dua orang yang harus menangani 20 mesin rajut. Oleh karena itu perlu penelitian tentang beban kerja operator dan selanjutnya menentukan jumlah operator di bagian mesin rajut menggunakan metode beban kerja mental NASA-TLX dan metode beban kerja fisik Work Sampling (Sampling Kerja).Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran beban mental kerja menggunakan metode NASA-TLX didapatkan hasil bahwa beban mental pekerja dengan jumlah 2 (dua) operator pada operator 1 (mesin rajut manual) dengan skor 79 dan operator 2 (mesin rajut otomatis) dengan skor 78 keduanya termasuk dalam kategori berat. Dari hasil pengukuran Work Sampling (Sampling Pekerjaan) di dapatkan beban kerja fisik operator 1 (mesin rajut manual) sebesar 1,22 sedangkan beban kerja fisik operator 2 (mesin rajut otomatis) sebesar 1,20 sehingga perlu penambahan 1 (satu) operator lagi untuk masing-masing mesin rajut manual dan 1 (satu) orang operator untuk mesin rajut otoatis. Setelah melakukan penambahan 2 (dua) orang operator didapatkan penurunan produksi cacat dari 9% menjadi 4,9%.Kata Kunci : Nasa-TLX (Task Load Index), Work Sampling, Beban Kerja Mental, Operator mesin rajut. |
