Abstract. Moving on the importance of communication in the human life to the television media as a medium of communication that has the function of information, and arrived at the television news program that will be reviewed about the production process. A production process of news program that has a uniqueness in the language used, it’s namely Sundanese language. Kalawarta, a news program in West Java TVRI station created for the people of West Java in obtaining information that contains elements of cultural preservation of West Java. It’s makes the researchers raised a thesis title "Process Production Program "Kalawarta" at the Institute of Public Broadcasting TVRI." This study aims to find out how the production process that occurs in Kalawarta news program on TVRI West Java, starting from the process of pre production, production to post production process in this program. The method used for this research is descriptive method with qualitative data, this method was chosen in order to more easily describing the production process that happened in Kalawarta’s program. Research data obtained through interviews and observation, the validity of data was using the triangulation of sources process. The results showed the production process that occurs in Kalawarta’s program has no different from the production process of other programs, either in pre production, production or post production process, but in the Kalawarta program many stages are passed, especially in the pre production process, although it has no effect on results. Production constraints are so much due to the many stages that are not implemented in the production process of the Kalawarta program.Keywords: Communication, Production Process, TVRI, Kalawarta ProgramAbstrak. Beranjak dari pentingnya komunikasi dalam kehidupan manusia hingga media televisi sebagai media dari komunikasi yang memiliki fungsi informasi, dan sampailah pada program berita televisi yang akan dikaji proses produksinya. Sebuah proses produksi program berita yang memiliki keunikan dalam bahasa yang digunakan, yaitu bahasa Sunda. Kalawarta, sebuah program berita di stasiun TVRI Jawa Barat yang diciptakan untuk masyarakat Jawa Barat dalam mendapatkan informasi yang mengandung unsur kelestarian budaya Jawa Barat sendiri. Hal ini membuat peneliti mengangkat sebuah judul skripsi “Proses Produksi Program “Kalawarta” di Lembaga Penyiaran Publik TVRI”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses produksi yang terjadi pada program berita Kalawarta di TVRI Jawa Barat, dimulai dari proses praproduksi, produksi hingga proses pascaproduksi dalam program tersebut. Metode yang digunakan untuk penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan data kualitatif, metode ini dipilih agar lebih mudah menggambarkan proses produksi yang terjadi dalam program Kalawarta. Data penelitian didapat melalui wawancara dan observasi, keabsahan data pun menggunakan proses triangulasi sumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses produksi yang terjadi dalam program Kalawarta tidak begitu berbeda dengan proses produksi program lain secara, baik itu dalam proses praproduksi, produksi maupun proses pascaproduksi, namun dalam program Kalawarta banyak tahapan yang dilewatkan, terutama dalam proses praproduksi, walaupun hal tersebut tidak berpengaruh pada hasil. Kendala produksi pun begitu banyak akibat banyaknya tahapan yang tidak dilaksanakan dalam proses produksi program Kalawarta.Kata Kunci: Komunikasi, Proses Produksi, TVRI, Program Kalawarta |
