Abstract. Regional disparity is a development problem that occurs in almost all regions, a very visible gap in the northern and southern regions of West Java. The condition of the gap in the north and south can be seen from the even distribution of the GDP per capita per district / city, the southern region tends to have a low income compared to the northern region. The availability of infrastructure and the value of investments also look very lame. The purpose of this study is to measure how big the gap is and determine the strategy for handling the gap. The results show that the level of inequality in the northern region is higher than in the southern region. Therefore, the strategy for handling gaps based on the SWOT analysis method is aggressive strategy. In the northern region the main strategies (1) optimization of regional strength by maximizing the functions of industrial estates to attract more capital (2) aggressive promotion of policy. In the southern region the main strategies (1) the need for infrastructure development in order to attract investment into the southern region (2) a logistical system and a business system that is integrated with the coastal area are the main potential.Keywords: Disparities, North and South Regions,  SWOT Analysis, Strategy.Abstrak. Kesenjangan antar wilayah merupakan permasalahan pembangunan yang terjadi dihampir semua wilayah, kesenjangan yang sangat terlihat terjadi di wilayah utara dan selatan Jawa Barat. Kondisi kesenjangan wilayah utara dan selatan dapat dilihat dari pemerataan besaran PDRB perkapita tiap kabupaten/kota, wilayah selatan cenderung memiliki pendapatan rendah dibanding dengan wilayah utara. Ketersediaan infrastruktur serta nilai investasi juga terlihat sangat timpang. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengukur seberapa besar kesenjangan dan menentukan strategi penanganan kesenjangan tersebut. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tingkat ketimpangan wilayah utara lebih tinggi dibanding dengan wilayah selatan. Maka dari itu, strategi penanganan kesenjangan berdasarkan metode analisis SWOT adalah startegi agresif. Di wilayah utara  strategi utama (1) optimalisasi kekuatan wilayah dengan cara memaksimalkan fungsi kawasan industri untuk menarik lebih banyak modal masuk (2) gencaran kebijakan promosi yang agresif. Di wilayah selatan strategi utama (1) perlunya pembangunan infrastruktur guna menarik investasi masuk ke wilayah selatan (2) perlu dibangun suatu sistem logistik dan sistem bisnis yang terintegrasi dengan kawasan pesisir yang menjadi potensi utamanya.Kata Kunci: Kesenjanagan, Wilayah Utara dan Selatan, Analisis SWOT, Strategi.
