Abstract. Preeclampsia is a major complication of pregnancy that causes significant morbidity and mortality in infants and mothers. This condition may cause inhibition of fetal growth or intra uterine growth restriction (IUGR), premature and may affect the occurrence of low birth weight infant(LBW). This study aims to analyze the relationship between severe preeclampsia and low birth weight (LBW) infant in RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung period January 1, 2016 - January 31, 2018. The research was done by analytical descriptive method with case control approach, using secondary data medical record at RSUD Al - Ihsan Bandung. The sampling method was simple random sampling with the subject of the study: infants born in Al-Ihsan Hospital Period 1 January 2016 - January 31, 2018 who experienced LBW as a case and non-LBW as a control, with a sample size of 209 infants. Statistical analysis was done bivariate using chi-square method of 95% confidence degree. The results of this study were obtained from 95 women who had severe preeclampsia 94.7% had a LBW infants while the remaining 5.3% did not have LBW infants. Meanwhile, of 114 mothers who did not experience severe preeclampsia, 77.2% of their babies did not have low birth weight and only 22.8% had low birth weight. There is a relationship between severe preeclampsia and the occurrence of LBW (p-Value = 0,000, OR = 60.9). The study found a relationship between severe preeclampsia with low birth weight infants.Keywords: Low Birth Weight, Severe Preeclampsia.Abstrak. Preeklamsia adalah komplikasi utama kehamilan yang menyebabkan morbiditas dan mortalitas yang signifikan pada bayi dan ibu. Keadaan tersebut dapat menyebabkan penghambatan pertumbuhan janin atau intra uterine growth restriction (IUGR) dan prematuritas serta dapat mempengaruhi terjadinya bayi dengan berat badan lahir rendah (BBLR). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara preeklamsia berat dengan kejadian bayi dengan BBLR di RSUD Al-Ihsan Kabupaten Bandung periode 1 Januari 2016 – 31 Januari 2018. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan case control, dengan menggunakan data sekunder rekam medik di RSUD Al – Ihsan Kabupaten Bandung. Metode pengambilan sampel adalah simple random sampling dengan subjek penelitian yaitu bayi yang dilahirkan di RSUD Al-Ihsan Periode 1 Januari 2016 – 31 Januari 2018 yang mengalami BBLR sebagai kasus dan non BBLR sebagai kontrol, dengan besar sampel 209 bayi. Analisis statistik dilakukan secara bivariat dengan menggunakan metode chi-square dengan derajat kepercayaan 95%. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa dari 95 ibu yang mengalami preeklamsia berat 94,7% memiliki bayi dengan BBLR. Dari 114 ibu yang tidak mengalami preeklamsia berat 77,2% bayi nya tidak mengalami BBLR dan hanya 22,8% yang masih memiliki bayi dengan BBLR. Terdapat hubungan antara preeklamsia berat dengan kejadian BBLR (p-Value = 0,000, OR = 60,9). Simpulan dari penelitian didapatkan hubungan antara preeklamsia berat dengan kejadian bayi berat lahir rendah.Kata Kunci: Bayi Berat Lahir Rendah, Preeklamsia Berat.
