Abstract.Breast cancer is the multiplication of an uncontrolled number of cells that can originate from the ductal epithelium or breast lobe. This study aims to determine the relationship of breastfeeding patterns with the age of diagnosed with breast cancer in Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital Bandung. The type of research used in this study was observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The number of research samples that fit the inclusion and exclusion criteria was 70 patients with consecutive sampling technique. Data analysis used chi-square statistical tests. The results of this study indicate that most breast cancer patients in Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital Bandung (85.7%) were diagnosed at the age of 40 years and less than half (48.6%) had partial breastfeeding patterns. While the results of the chi-square test showed that there was no significant relationship between patients who had exclusive, predominant, and partial breastfeeding patterns with the age of patients diagnosed with breast cancer (p = 0.459> 0.05). There was no significant relationship between breastfeeding patterns and the age of diagnosed with breast cancer in Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital Bandung.Keywords: Breastfeeding Patterns, Breastfeeding, Breast CancerAbstrak.Kanker payudara merupakan perbanyakan jumlah sel yang tidak terkendali yang dapat berasal dari epitel duktus atau lobus payudara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan pola menyusui dengan usia terdiagnosis kanker payudara di RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung. Jenis penelitan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Jumlah sampel penelitian yang sesuai dengan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi adalah sebanyak 70 orang dengan menggunakan teknik consecutive sampling. Analisis data menggunakan uji statistic chi-square. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pasien kanker payudara di RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung sebagian besar (85,7%) terdiagnosisi saat berusia diatas 40 tahun serta kurang dari setengahnya (48,6%) memiliki pola menyusui secara parsial. Sedangkan hasil uji chi-square menunjukan bahwa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara pasien yang memiliki pola menyusui secara eksklusif, predominan, dan parsial dengan usia pasien terdiagnosis kanker payudara (p=0,459 > 0,05). Tidak terdapat hubungan yang bermakna antara pola menyusui dengan usia terdiagnosis kanker payudara di RSUD Al-Ihsan Bandung.Kata Kunci: Pola Menyusui, Menyusui, Kanker Payudara |
