Abstract. Scabies is an infectious skin disease caused by Sarcoptes scabiei and is often suffered by residents of Islamic Boarding School. Scabies can only be eradicated by breaking the chain of transmission and giving the right medicine. Medications that are often used in Indonesia are sulfur ointments and permethrin. The purpose of this study was to determine the comparison of the effectiveness of 2-4 ointment and permethrin in the treatment of scabies in Al-Ashr Al-Madani Islamic Boarding School. This study uses simple random sampling by giving two different treatment groups with the same amount, which consists of 90 respondents. Data were analyzed to see the effectiveness of 2-4 ointment or permethrin ointment in terms of comparison of itching scores before and after administration of 2-4 ointment or permethrin, comparison of itching scores after 2-4 ointment and permethrin administration, and differences in itching symptoms at the location of the lesion before and after administration of 2-4 ointment or permethrin based on the patient's subjective. This study used consecutive sampling by giving two different treatment groups in the same amount, consisting of 90 respondents. Data is collected by using a questionnaire. The results of the study are based on a comparison of itching scores before and after administration of 2 drugs that 2-4 ointment decreases more than permethrin in reducing itching, comparison of itching score after administration of 2 drugs that 2-4 ointment is better than permethrin in reducing itching, and differences in itching symptoms at the location of the lesion before and after administration of 2 drugs that a significant difference is 2-4 ointments. The effectiveness of subjective drugs can be concluded that 2-4 ointments are more effective than permethrin.Keywords: 2-4 Ointments, Islamic Boarding School, Permethrin, ScabiesAbstrak. Skabies merupakan penyakit kulit menular yang disebabkan oleh Sarcoptes scabiei dan sering diderita oleh penghuni pesantren. Skabies hanya dapat diberantas dengan memutus rantai penularan dan memberi obat yang tepat. Pengobatan yang sering dipakai di Indonesia adalah salep sulfur dan permethrin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui perbandingan efektivitas salep 2-4 dan permethrin pada pengobatan skabies di Pondok Pesantren Al-Ashr Al-Madani. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis untuk melihat efektivitas obat salep 2-4 atau permethrin ditinjau dari perbandingan skor gatal sebelum dan setelah pemberian salep 2-4 atau permethrin, perbandingan skor gatal setelah pemberian salep 2-4 dan permethrin, dan perbedaan gejala gatal pada lokasi lesi sebelum dan setelah pemberian salep 2-4 atau permethrin berdasarkan subjektif pasien. Penelitian ini menggunakan consecutive sampling dengan melakukan pemberian dua kelompok pengobatan yang berbeda dalam jumlah yang sama, yang terdiri dari 90 responden. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Hasil penelitian adalah berdasar atas perbandingan skor gatal sebelum dan setelah pemberian 2 obat bahwa salep 2-4 lebih menurun daripada permethrin dalam menurunkan rasa gatal, perbandingan skor gatal setelah pemberian 2 obat bahwa salep 2-4 lebih baik daripada permethrin dalam menurunkan rasa gatal, dan perbedaan gejala gatal pada lokasi lesi sebelum dan setelah pemberian 2 obat bahwa perbedaan yang signifikan adalah salep 2-4. Efektivitas obat berdasarkan subjektif dapat disimpulkan bahwa salep 2-4 lebih efektif daripada permethrin.Kata Kunci: Permethrin, Pesantren, Salep 2-4, Skabies |
