Abstract. Extraordinary school teachers experienced greater pressure at their jobs compared to regular school teachers. Each day they need to form a strategy to face students’ unique characteristics, to meet unrealistic curriculum demands, and to make sure the parents are willing to cooperate. There is no difference in duties between teachers who have and haven’t gained the status as PNS. The difference only lies in terms of salary, the pay that honorary teachers receive is far below UMK Bandung. Despite those situations, they choose to stay at their job for years. They claimed that they’ve grown comfortable and have a sense of responsibility to keep teaching there. Another thing is they believe that their job will bring fortune related to their religion, thus strengthen their decision to stay. The purpose of this research is to describe the organizational commitment and centrality of religiosity of the honorary teachers in SLB-BC X. This research was conducted to the population of 8 (eight) honorary teachers with qualitative analysis. The results found that 87,5% teachers scored high in affective commitment, 87,5% scored high in normative commitment, 50% scored high in continuance commitment, and 75% considered to have high centrality of religiosity.Keywords: Honorary teacher, Organizational Commitment, Centrality of ReligiosityAbstrak. Guru SLB merasakan tuntutan yang tinggi pada pekerjaannya karena setiap hari harus memiliki strategi untuk menghadapi keunikan siswa, tuntutan kurikulum dari dinas pendidikan, dan membangun kerjasama dengan orang tua siswa. Tidak ada perbedaan tugas antara guru berstatus PNS dan yang masih honorer, perbedaan hanya dalam pendapatan guru honorer yang masih jauh di bawah UMK Bandung. Meskipun dalam kondisi tersebut, guru honorer tetap memilih bertahan di SLB selama bertahun-tahun. Hal tersebut dikarenakan adanya kenyamanan dan rasa tanggung jawab terhadap sekolah, serta keyakinan bahwa pekerjaan ini akan membawa keuntungan yang berkaitan dengan kepercayaan mereka sehingga memperkuat pilihan mereka untuk tetap bertahan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui gambaran komitmen organisasi dan centrality of religiosity pada guru di SLB-BC X. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian populasi terhadap guru honorer berjumlah 8 (delapan) orang dengan menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebanyak 87,5% guru memiliki komitmen afektif tinggi, 87,5% guru memiliki komitmen normatif tinggi, dan 50% guru memiliki komitmen kontinuitas tinggi. Selain itu, sebanyak 75% guru memiliki centrality of religiosity yang tinggi.Kata kunci: Guru honorer, Komitmen Organisasi, Centrality of Religiosity |
