Abstract— COVID-19 pandemic is a collective event that increases risk factors for experiencing high psychological distress. One category of frontline workers most affected by this pandemic is Satpol PP officers. Satpol PP officers working in the field face a higher risk of exposure to the virus than the general population. This type of stressor can be a significant trigger for psychological distress. This study was aimed at finding the association between self-compassion and psychological distress in situations of acute and multidimensional distress, namely the COVID-19 pandemic, among Satpol PP officers. Much of the previous research was limited to situations with everyday stressors such as noise and congestion. The Spearman Rank correlational analysis technique was used in this study. With the total number of respondents reaching 90 Satpol PP officers with PHL status, the results showed that there was a negative correlation with a moderate degree of -0.684 between self-compassion and psychological distress found in Satpol PP officers with PHL status in Bandung.
