Abstract. The phenomenon of cybersex on social media is very common to found these days. These cybersex offenders generally use anonymous accounts so that their identities are not recognized. This is related to self-esteem so that cybersex can be easily done by individuals with low self-esteem. The purpose of this study is to determine: 1) How is the self-esteem of individuals who do cybersex, 2) How is their cybersex behavior, 3) How closely is the relationship between self-esteem and cybersex behavior. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a negative relationship between self-esteem and cybersex behavior. There are 125 respondents in this study with aged 18-25 years who used social media such as twitter and whisper. Purposive sampling is used for sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were self-esteem measurement instruments from Rosenberg to measure self-esteem and the Internet Sex Screening Test from Delmonico to measure cybersex which has been adapted before. Data analysis in this study used Spearman's rho correlation to test the hypothesis. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant negative relationship between self-esteem and cybersex behavior (r = -0.372) with a significance of 0.000 (p <0.05), which means that the lower the self-esteem, the higher the cybersex behavior.Keywords: Cybersex, Cybersex Behavior, Self-EsteemAbstrak. Fenomena cybersex di media sosial sangat banyak ditemukan. Para pelaku cybersex ini pada umumnya menggunakan akun anonim sehingga identitasnya tidak dikenali. Hal ini berhubungan dengan self esteem sehingga cybersex dapat mudah dilakukan oleh individu dengan self esteem yang rendah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: 1) Bagaimana self esteem individu yang melakukan cybersex, 2) Bagaimana perilaku cybersexnya, 3) seberapa erat hubungan antara self esteem dengan perilaku cybersex. Hipotesis pada penelitian ini adalah adanya hubungan negatif antara self esteem dengan perilaku cybersex. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah 125 orang berusia 18-25 tahun yang menggunakan media sosial twitter dan whisper. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan alat ukur self esteem dari Rosenberg dan cybersex ISST dari Delmonico yang sudah diadaptasi sebelumnya. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan korelasional Spearman’s rho untuk menguji hipotesis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan negative yang signifikan antara self esteem dengan perilaku cybersex (r = -0.372) dengan signifikansi 0.000 (p < 0.05) yang artinya semakin rendah self-esteem semakin tinggi perilaku cybersex.Kata Kunci: Cybersex, Perilaku Cybersex, Self-Esteem |
