Abstract. Sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth.) S. Moore) has antioxidant activity because it can inhibit free radicals. One of the compounds contained in Sintrong leaves that acts as an antidote to free radicals is flavonoids. The antioxidant activity of Sintrong leaves can be seen from the DPPH (2,2 diphenyl-1-pyicryl hydrazine) test. This study aims to analyze the flavonoid class compounds that have the potential as antioxidants contained in Sintrong leaves using literature studies from other plants. The literature used is a scientific journal published in the last 10 years with the theme of isolation of flavonoids that have the potential as antioxidants from a plant. The results of literature search show that Sintrong leaves contain flavonoid compounds in the form of catechin, rutin, kaempferol, isoquercitrin and quercetin, from the IC50 data obtained from other plant literature, each compound has the potential as an antioxidant.Keywords : Sintrong leaves, Flavonoid, DPPHAbstrak. Sintrong (Crassocephalum crepidioides (Benth.) S. Moore) memiliki aktivitas sebagai antioksidan karena mampu menghambat radikal bebas. Salah satu senyawa yang terkandung pada daun sintrong yang berperan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas adalah flavonoid. Aktivitas antioksidan dari daun sintrong dapat diketahui dari uji DPPH (2,2 diphenyl-1-pyicryl hydrazine). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis senyawa golongan flavonoid yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan yang terkandung dalam daun sintrong dengan menggunakan studi literatur dari tanaman lain. Pustaka yang digunakan merupakan jurnal ilmiah terbitan 10 tahun akhir dengan tema isolasi flavonoid yang berpotensi sebagai antioksidan dari suatu tanaman. Hasil penelusuran pustaka menunjukkan bahwa daun sintrong mengandung senyawa golongan flavonoid berupa katekin, rutin, kaemferol, isokuersitrin dan kuersetin, dari data IC50 yang diperoleh dari literatur tanaman lain, masing- masing senyawa memiliki potensi sebagai antioksidan.Kata kunci: Daun Sintrong, Flavonoid, DPPH |
