dc.description Abstract: The diversity of medicinal plants from the Zingiberaceae tribe is widely used for natural medicine and can be used as traditional food ingredients since ancient times until now. Various studies have also been conducted regarding the potential for antifungal activity of various types of plants from the Zingiberaceae tribe, one of which is the genus Hedychium spp. The purpose of this literature search was to determine the bioprospection of potential antifungal activity of forest gandasoli (Hedychium roxburghii Bl.) based on chemotaxonomic studies of the genus Hedychium spp. The method used is the literature search method which examines antifungal activity. Literature tracing studied is in the form of journals that have been published both nationally and internationally. The results of literature search show that the genus Hedyhium spp, namely Hedychium coronarium, Hedychium spicatum and Hedychium roxburghii Bl. has the potential for antifungal activity of Candida albicans, where the compounds that have the potential to act as antifungi are flavonoids. So this forest gandasoli (Hedychium roxburghii Bl.) has the potential as an antifungal activity, because it has similarities in the content of chemical compounds to one another with the genus Hedychium spp. Keywords: Hedychium, Hedychium Roxburghii, antifungal activity.
