dc.description Abstract. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease that is marked by the increasing of blood sugar levels (hyperglycemia) and the occurrence of metabolism disorders of carbohydrates, fats, and proteins. Indonesia has so many wild plants that have the potential in a variety of treatments, one of those is diabetes treatment. These wild plants contain compounds including flavonoids, quercetin, polyphenols, andrographolide, chlorogenic acid, triterpenoids, quercetin glucoside, kaemferol, flavones, and chalcones which are thought to have antidiabetic activity. The purpose of this study was to determine the antidiabetic activity of several wild plants in Indonesia based on several studies. This research method was carried out by studying literature from various manuscripts both national and international publications online. The data collection was carried out by observation of 20 national and international journals which included names of plants, parts of plants used, effective doses, and content of compounds that have antidiabetic activity. By observing 7 of wild plants in Indonesia which obtained from 20 research journals, it was found that kelor plant (Moringa oleifera) had the biggest antidiabetic activity with a dose of 500 mg / kgBW / day of streptozotosin which induced to the mice, kecombrang plant (Etlingera elatior) with a dose of 100 mg / kgBW of alloxan induced to the mice, and karamunting plant (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk.) with a dose of 40 mg / KgBW of alloxan induced to the mice.Keywords: Antidiabetic, Diabetes Mellitus, Wild PlantsAbstrak. Diabetes mellitus merupakan penyakit kronis yang ditandai dengan adanya peningkatan kadar gula darah (hiperglikemia) dan terjadinya gangguan pada metabolisme karbohidrat, lemak, dan protein. Indonesia memiliki banyak tumbuhan liar yang berpotensi dalam berbagai macam pengobatan, salah satunya pengobatan diabetes. Tumbuhan liar tersebut memiliki kandungan senyawa diantaranya flavonoid, quercetin, polifenol, andrographolide, asam klorogenat, triterpenoid, quercetin glucoside, kaemferol, flavon, dan chalcone yang diduga memiliki aktivitas antidiabetes. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui aktivitas antidiabetes beberapa tumbuhan liar di Indonesia berdasarkan beberapa penelitian. Metode penelitian ini dilakukan secara studi literatur dari berbagai naskah-naskah publikasi baik nasional mapun internasional secara online. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dari 20 jurnal nasional maupun internasional yang meliputi nama tumbuhan, bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan, dosis efektif, dan kandungan senyawa yang memiliki aktivitas antidiabetes. Dari 7 tumbuhan liar di Indonesia yang didapat dari 20 jurnal penelitian yang digunakan didapatkan hasil bahwa tumbuhan kelor (Moringa oleifera) memiliki aktivitas antidiabetes terbesar dengan dosis 500 mg/kg BB/hari tikus yang diinduksi streptozotosin, tumbuhan kecombrang (Etlingera elatior) dengan dosis 100 mg/kg BB tikus yang diinduksi aloksan, dan tumbuhan karamunting (Rhodomyrtus tomentosa (Aiton) Hassk.) dengan dosis 40 mg/kg BB mencit yang diinduksi aloksan.Kata Kunci: Antidiabetes, Diabetes Mellitus, Tumbuhan Liar
