Abstract. Shipping costs are costs that must be incurred by the sender of the goods according to the city or destination country and based on the weight or volume of the goods to be sent. The cost of shipping goods needs to be considered because the right decision in allocating products based on demand and supply by paying attention to distribution costs can incur costs so that they will achieve maximum profit. The tree base method is one of the methods used in determining the cost of shipping goods. Determination of the initial solution for shipping goods using the least cost method. The basis tree and least cost methods are applied in determining the cost of shipping goods at PT TIKI which is engaged in services. In delivery of goods, PT TIKI pays Rp. 65,910,000, - by using the Granmax Box Car, the Engkel Box Car and the Doubel Box Car from Medan to Palembang, Padang and Pekanbaru. By using the Least Cost method as an initial feasible solution and the Basis Tree method as the optimal solution, a lower cost than the company's calculation costs is Rp. 61,500,000, -. Thus the company can provide a fee of Rp. 4,410,000, -.Keywords: Optimization, Shipping Costs, Tree Basis, Least Cost MethodAbstrak. Biaya pengiriman barang merupakan biaya yang harus dikeluarkan oleh pengirim barang sesuai dengan kota atau negara tujuan dan berdasarkan berat atau volume dari barang yang akan dikirim. Biaya pengiriman barang perlu diperhatikan karena keputusan yang tepat dalam mengalokasikan produk berdasarkan permintaan dan penawaran dengan memperhatikan biaya distribusi dapat memperkecil pengeluaran sehingga akan mencapai keuntungan yang maksimal. Metode basis tree merupakan salah satu metode yang digunakan dalam menentukan biaya pengiriman barang. Penentuan solusi awal pengiriman barang menggunakan metode least cost. Metode basis tree dan least cost diaplikasi pada penentuan biaya pengiriman barang pada PT TIKI yang bergerak dibidang jasa. Dalam pengiriman barang, PT TIKI mengeluarkan biaya sebesar Rp. 65.910.000,- dengan menggunakan Mobil Box Granmax, Mobil Box Engkel dan Mobil Box Doubel dari Medan menuju Palembang, Padang, dan Pekanbaru. Dengan menggunakan metode Least Cost sebagai solusi fisibel awal dan metode Basis Tree sebagai solusi optimum diperoleh biaya yang lebih kecil dari biaya perhitungan perusahaan yakni sebesar Rp. 61.500.000,-. Dengan demikian perusahaan dapat menghemat biaya sebesar Rp. 4.410.000,-.Kata Kunci : Optimasi, Biaya Pengiriman, Basis Tree, Metode Least Cost |
