Abstact. Human behaviour in consuming an item is certainly influenced by various factors derived internal factors and external factors are no exception to the consumption of goods of the region. The development of Jatinangor district as a Strategic Area Of The Province (KSP) Education triggered various changes in terms of physical, social, economic.Determination of the region impacts on the availability imbalance and infrastructure needs of one of them water students dormitory. Currently, the number of migrant students in Jatinangor district reaches 59.38% of the total population. The government of West Java targeted in 2019 water availability reached 70% for the entire region. But in fact, the coverage of water services in Jatinangor only reaches 15.57%. Sumedang Government has made efforts to improve the coverage of water services through the Jatigede Reservoir but in increasing the target is not easy. One form of efforts that can be done by the government in addition to the addition of the amount of supply of water is an effort to emphasize the demand for water. Demand suppression efforts can be known from the factors that affect the consumption of water students in Jatinangor district.This study uses qualitative approach methods, analyses using multiple linear regression with variables studied are individual factors, income (allowance), climate, variation of activities, services and water cost. As for the results of the factors affecting the consumption of water students dorm in Jatinangor are individual factors, income(allowance), variations of activities, services and water cost significantly influence positively while the climate has a significant effect negatively affect the consumption of water students.Keywords: Water, Students, Dormitory, Factor Consumption. Abstrak. Perilaku manusia dalam mengkonsumsi suatu barang dipengaruhi oleh faktor internal dan faktor eksternal tidak terkecuali konsumsi barang suatu kawasan. Kecamatan Jatinangor ditetapkan sebagai Kawasan Strategis Provinsi (KSP) Pendidikan memicu berbagai perubahan dalam segi fisik, sosial, ekonomi.Penetapan kawasan berdampak pada ketidakseimbangan ketersediaan dan kebutuhan sarana prasarana wilayah salah satunya air bersih pondokan mahasiswa. Jumlah mahasiswa Jatinangor saat ini mencapai 59,38% dari keseluruhan penduduk kecamatan.Pemerintah Jawa Barat pada tahun 2019 menargetkan ketersediaan air bersih mencapai 70% untuk seluruh wilayah. Namun, cakupan pelayanan air bersih Kecamatan Jatinangor hanya mencapai 15,57%. Waduk Jatigede merupakan upaya pemerintah Kabupaten Sumedang untuk meningkatkan ketersediaan air bersih namun belum memenuhi kebutuhan demand penduduk. Bentuk upaya yang dapat dilakukan oleh pemerintah selain melakukan penambahan jumlah supply air bersih adalah upaya penekanan demand air bersih. Upaya penekanan demand tersebut dapat diketahui dari faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi air bersih mahasiswa pondokan di Kecamatan Jatinangor.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pendekatan kualitatif, dengan metode analisis menggunakan regresi linear berganda berdasarkan faktor individu, pendapatan (uang saku), iklim, variasi aktifitas, pelayanan dan tarif air. Adapun hasilnya faktor yang mempengaruhi konsumsi air bersih mahasiswa di Kecamatan Jatinangor adalah faktor individu, pendapatan (uang saku), variasi aktifitas, pelayanan dan tarif air berpengaruh signifikan secara positif sedangkan iklim berpengaruh signifikan secara negatif terhadap konsumsi air bersih pondokan mahasiswa.Kata Kunci: Air Bersih, Mahasiswa, Pondokan, Faktor Konsumsi. |
