Abstract. Irritant contact dermatitis is one of the most frequently encountered skin diseases as a result of occupational, housewives and individuals exposed to irritants with characteristic skin inflammation due to direct contact with irritating substances and the result of non-immunological reactions. Irritant contact dermatitis can occur due to exposure to irritants, one of the most common irritants found in the environment is detergents which can cause disruption of the skin barrier function which eventually causes an irritating effect due to the surfactant content. The purpose of this study was to analysis the relationship between individuals exposed to detergents and the incidence of irritant contact dermatitis. Systematic searches are carried out through searches from electronic databases namely PubMed, Science Direct, Proquest, Google Scholar, Springer Link with keywords in pubmed ("Dermatitis, Irritant" [Mesh]) AND ("Detergents" [Mesh] OR "Surface-Active Agents "[Mesh]) and on Science Direct, Proquest, Google Scholar, Springer Link" Detergent "AND" Irritant Contact Dermatitis "get 5678 articles. The articles reviewed are those containing the results of original research or primary studies and research articles. This research will be assessed by PICOS to be determined as an Elegible criterion in PRISMA and presented in tabular form. The journals used were published in the period 2010 - 2020 using national and international journals. The results of the article show that there are 15 research reports that can be used to answer the formulation of this research problem. It was found that individuals exposed to detergents induced irritant dermatitis by causing skin barrier dysfunction and increasing skin permeability.Key words: Detergent, irritant contact dermatitis, surfactantAbstrak. Dermatitis kontak iritan adalah salah satu penyakit kulit yang paling sering ditemui sebagai penyakit akibat pekerjaan, ibu rumah tangga dan individu yang terpapar iritan dengan karakteristik peradangan kulit akibat kontak langsung dengan bahan yang menyebabkan iritasi dan hasil reaksi non-imunologis. Dermatitis kontak iritan dapat terjadi karena paparan iritan salah satu iritan yang paling banyak di temukan di lingkungan adalah deterjen yang dapat menyebabkan gangguan fungsi barier kulit yang akhirnya menimbulkan efek iritasi dikarenakan kandungan surfaktan. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah menganalisis hubungan antara individu terpapar deterjen dengan kejadian dermatitis kontak iritan. Pencarian sistematis dilakukan melalui pencarian dari database elektronik yaitu PubMed, Science Direct, Proquest ,Google Scholar, Springer Link dengan kata kunci pada pubmed (“Dermatitis, Irritant”[Mesh]) AND (“Detergents”[Mesh] OR “Surface-Active Agents”[Mesh] ) dan pada Science Direct, Proquest ,Google Scholar, Springer Link “Detergent” AND “Irritant Contact Dermatitis” mendapatkan hasil 5678 artikel. Artikel yang direview adalah yang berisi hasil penelitian original research atau primary study dan research article. Penelitian ini akan dinilai secara PICOS untuk ditentukan sebagai kriteria Elegible pada PRISMA dan disajikan dalam bentuk tabel. Jurnal yang digunakan terbit pada rentang tahun 2010 – 2020 dengan menggunakan jurnal nasional maupun internasional. Hasil artikel menunjukkan terdapat 15 laporan penelitian yang dapat digunakan untuk menjawab rumusan masalah penelitian ini. diperoleh hasil bahwa individu terpapar deterjen dapat menginduksi kejadian dermatitis iritan dengan menyebabkan disfungsi pelindung kulit dan meningkatkan permeabilitas kulit.Kata kunci: Dermatitis kontak iritan, deterjen, surfaktan |
