Abstract. Work stress is the emergence of physical and emotional reactions that occur because of discomfort between work and a worker's abilities, resources, or needs, and performance. One the factors causing stress is a work shift system. This study aims to determine the comparison score of the stress value between female nurses shift work and non-shift work at Al Ihsan Public Hospital. This study employed observational analytic method with cross sectional approach. The samples were taken by using simple random sampling method that consisted of 60 female nurse respondents at Al Ihsan Public Hospital. The data retrieval from primary data utilized the DASS 42 questionnaire to measure work stress. The results in this study based on the calculation of the independent t-test show that there are significant differences in the stress scores of nurses on shift work and non-shift work. Then, based on the stress level, there are 3 female nurses who experience mild stress, 11 people with moderate stress, 14 people with severe stress, and 2 people with very heavy stress, then for female nurses who do not shift work who do not experience stress or normal there are 1 person, 4 people with mild stress, 15 people with moderate stress, 10 people with severe stress and none of them are in the extremely severe category. In conclusion, there were differences in the stress levels of nurses who worked on shift and non-shift at Al Ihsan Public Hospital. The nurses with shift work had higher stress scores than those without shift work.Keywords: DASS, Work shift, Work stressABSTRAK. Stres kerja adalah timbulnya reaksi fisik dan emosional yang terjadi karena ketidaknyamanan antara pekerjaan dengan kemampuan seorang pekerja, sumber daya, atau kebutuhan pekerja dan kinerja pekerja. Salah satu faktor penyebab terjadinya stres dalam bekerja adalah shift kerja. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbandingan nilai stres antara perawat wanita yang bekerja gilir dan tidak kerja gilir di RSUD Al Ihsan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel diambil secara purposive sampling terdiri dari 60 responden perawat wanita di Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah Al Ihsan. Pengambilan data dari data primer dengan menggunakan kuesioner DASS 42 untuk mengukur stres kerja. Hasil pada penelitian ini berdasarkan perhitungan independent t-test menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna nilai stress perawat terhadap kerja gilir dan tidak kerja gilir. Kemudian, berdasarkan tingkat stres bahwa pada perawat wanita kerja gilir yang mengalami stres ringan terdapat 3 orang, stres sedang 11 orang, stres berat 14 orang, dan stres sangat berat 2 orang, lalu untuk perawat wanita yang tidak kerja gilir yang tidak mengalai stres atau normal terdapat 1 orang, stres ringan 4 orang, stres sedang 15 orang, stres berat 10 orang dan tidak ada yang mengalami kategori stres sangat berat. Kesimpulan, terdapat perbedaan tingkat stres perawat wanita yang bekerja shift dan tidak shift di RSUD Al Ihsan. Perawat wanita dengan kerja gilir memiliki skor stres yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan perawat yang tidak kerja gilir.Kata kunci: DASS, Kerja gilir, Stres kerja
