Abstract. Acute respiratory tract infection is an acute infectious disease that affects one or more parts of the airway starting from the nose to the lung sacs including the adnexal tissue. Factors that influence the incidence of acute respiratory infections in workers include working time, use of personal protective equipment, smoking behavior and work duration. This study aims to determine the relationship between work tenure, use of personal protective equipment, smoking behavior, and work duration with the incidence of ARI. This research is an analytic observational study with cross sectional method. This research was conducted at the Indonesian Higher Education Agency Foundation in September 2020 by filling out a questionnaire given to 30 respondents with a total sampling technique then analyzed by calculating fisher exact which if the value (p<0.05) indicates a significant relationship and if (p>0.05) indicates that there is no significant relationship. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant relationship between the use of PPE (p=0), smoking behavior (p=0.024), and the duration of work with the incidence of ARI (p=0.001), and there is no significant relationship between years of service and the incidence of ARI. (p=1). These are the individual factors of cleaning service workers that can cause ARI disease. In conclusion, the incidence of ARI is influenced by the use of PPE, smoking behavior, and the duration of work with the incidence of ARI.Keywords: Acute Respiratory Infection, Cleaning Service, Personal Protective Equipment, Smoking Behavior, Work DurationAbstrak. Infeksi saluran pernafasan akut merupakan penyakit infeksi akut yang mengenai salah satu bagian atau lebih dari saluran nafas yang dimulai dari hidung hingga kantung paru termasuk jaringan adneksanya. Faktor yang mempengaruhi kejadian infeksi saluran pernafasan akut pada pekerja diantaranya masa kerja, penggunaan alat pelindung diri, perilaku merokok dan durasi kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara masa kerja, penggunaan alat pelindung diri, perilaku merokok, dan durasi kerja dengan kejadian ISPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional analitik dengan metode cross sectional. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Yayasan Badan Perguruan Indonesia pada bulan September 2020 dengan melakukan pengisian kuesioner yang diberikan kepada 30 responden dengan teknik total sampling kemudian dianalisis dengan perhitungan fisher exact yang apabila didapatkan nilai (p<0,05) menandakan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan apabila (p>0,05) menandakan tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara penggunaan APD (p=0), perilaku merokok (p=0,024), dan durasi kerja dengan kejadian ISPA (p=0,001), serta tidak terdapatnya hubungan yang signifikan antara masa kerja dengan kejadian ISPA (p=1). Hal tersebut merupakan faktor-faktor individu pekerja cleaning service yang dapat menyebabkan penyakit ISPA. Simpulan, angka kejadian ISPA dipengaruhi oleh penggunaan APD, perilaku merokok, dan durasi kerja dengan kejadian ISPA.Kata kunci: Alat Pelindung Diri, Cleaning Service, Durasi Kerja, Infeksi Saluran Pernafasan Akut, Perilaku Merokok |
