In education world, communication has an important role as the supporting device in conducting learning process especially in delivering the lesson materials. In the learning process, communication between individual often occurs, which is called as interpersonal communication. Thus, this study discusses the interpersonal communication between the teachers of imagination school and the students in developing creativity. This study aims to find out the interpersonal communication built by the teachers to the students as well as the teachers’ interpersonal communication implementation in developing children’s creativity.The study is a descriptive study using a qualitative data. The data is obtained by conducting direct observation, interview and literature review. The interview is done to three teachers and three students.The result shows (1) the teachers of imagination school applies personal approach in building their interpersonal communication to the students, during the learning process and after as well, which is supported by a sense of openness where the teachers put himself as a friend to children, (2) the teachers’ interpersonal communication implementation is conducted by providing guidance and direction to the children in person with a sense of emphaty, supportive attitude and positive attitude, (3) communication barriers occur because there are some students who are close, shame, as well as because there are lack of response from the children during the learning process.
