dc.description The ability of the company to ensure the production system or business activity runs smoothly determined by the inventory control. Too much inventory procurement will cause some major costs for the company, including maintenance cost, rental fees, etc. On the other hand, too little inventory procurement will cause major loss to companies, including the increasing message cost, cessation of production process due to raw materials shortage, which leads to potential loss of income, and loss of consumer confidence whom switch to other company. One of the steps taken to solve the problem on inventory system is developing a matematical model of Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) with backorder. The model is developed by applying Arithmetic Geometric Mean (AGM) and Cauchy-Bunyakovsky-Schwarz (CBS) to the basic EOQ model. The mathematical model for the total cost is . The model is then solved by applying AGM:      , and CBS: . From the model, we discovered the backorder  , optimal lot size  and the optimum total cost .
dc.description Perusahaan dapat memastikan lancarnya suatu sistem produksi atau kegiatan bisnis salah satunya adalah melalui pengendalian persediaan. Pengadaan persediaan yang terlalu banyak akan menyebabkan perusahaan mengeluarkan biaya besar untuk menyimpan barang, seperti biaya perawatan, biaya sewa, atau biaya lainnya. Sebaliknya, pengadaan persediaan yang sedikit akan menyebabkan kerugian bagi perusahaan seperti biaya pesan yang meningkat, berhentinya produksi akibat kekurangan bahan baku, sehingga hilangnya pendapatan yang potensial, dan dampak lain adalah hilangnya kepercayaan konsumen karena konsumen bisa berpindah pada perusahaan lain. Salah satu langkah yang ditempuh dalam sistem persediaan adalah pembentukan model matematik masalah persediaan. Model persediaan yang diselesaikan adalah model persediaan Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan backorder. Pembentukan model Eqonomic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan backorder pada makalah ini yaitu dengan menerapkan pertidaksamaan Arithmetic Geometri Mean (AGM) dan Cauchy Bunyakowsky Schwarz (CBS). Total biaya persediaan model Eqonomic Order Quantity (EOQ) dengan backorder adalah . Model tersebut diselesaikan dengan menerapkan pertidaksamaan Arithmetic Geometri Mean (AGM) yaitu  AM    GM  dan Cauchy Bunyakowsky Schwarz (CBS) sebagai berikut  Dari model tersebut didapat tingkat backorder  , ukuran lot  dan total biaya persediaan optimal .
